Questions about your family holiday at Hotel Stegerhof

We are happy to provide you with answers even before you arrive here in beautiful Styria.

1. DOES THE HOTEL HAVE WI-FI AND HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

We are happy to provide you with free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

2. DO YOU OFFER WASHING AND DRYING FOR LAUNDRY?

Our laundry room contains a washing machine and dryer you are welcome to use for free.

3. IS SMOKING ALLOWED AT THE STEGERHOF?

Because we are a children-friendly hotel, all of the Stegerhof is no smoking. You will find pleasant corners for smokers outside.

4. DOES THE STEGERHOF HAVE BICYCLES TO BORROW?

We have a variety of bicycles you are welcome to borrow for free. These include E mountain bikes, regular mountain bikes, bicycles with CHILD seats as well as children's bicycles.

5. DO YOU NEED A CAR TO GET FROM THE HOTEL TO THE SKI AREA?

Our road train "Bruno" runs several times a day from the hotel to the ski area and back (one trip takes 3 minutes). Which means, you will be able to leave your car parked at the hotel.

6. WHERE IS THE RENTAL CENTER FOR SKIS?

The rental center is located right at the valley station of the Riesneralm lifts (800 m away).

7. WHEN CAN I CHECK INTO MY ROOM? AND WHAT IS CHECKOUT TIME ON DEPARTURE DAY?

Check-in: you are welcome to check into your room after 2 PM.
Check-out: you have until 10 AM to check out of your room on departure day.
Your all-inclusive full board begins on arrival day with afternoon snacks and ends on departure day with breakfast.

Expect to arrive after 7 PM?
If so, please let us know in advance. If you do arrive late, we will be happy to prepare a small snack for you to enjoy once you get here.

8. WHAT DOES "4 SMILEYS" MEAN?

Smileys ARE a rating system utilized by the Kinderhotels Europa group.

4 Smileys mean:

  • children's play area completely divided off from traffic 
  • upscale standards with indoor pool or indoor children's play pool 
  • spacious rooms and apartments with plenty of space even if two children are also sleeping in the apartment.
  • Baby monitor available in every room
  • opportunity to hang up washing in the bathroom and/or on the balcony 
  • bedrooms can be blacked out completely 
  • supervised children's meals once a day, five days a week 
  • play area appropriate to the size of the hotel
  • Baby- and childcare available five days a week, throughout the day, from professionally trained staff 
  • family programs
  • baby- and childcare employees 

9. MAY I BRING MY DOG ALONG?

Dogs are permitted at Hotel Stegerhof. However, they are not permitted in the restaurant and wellness areas. The cleaning fee for your room is EUR 10 /day (per dog, food not included).

10. WHAT KINDS OF ROOMS DOES THE HOTEL OFFER?

The hotel actually consists of three different buildings, all of which are interconnected. To make it easier to get your bearings, they have different names: Beag, Woid And Oim. The family rooms, suites and apartments in these buildings are comfortable and offer every convenience along with stylish furnishings and family-friendly equipment.

11. WHAT AMENITIES ARE THERE IN THE ROOMS?

The following amenities are available in all rooms:

TV with sky programming | Wi-Fi | telephone | Safe | small refrigerator | bathrobes for adults | bathing slippers | electric water jug | child equipment and bathrobes on request | hairdryer and makeup mirror

12. IS CHILD EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE AT THE HOTEL?

The following equipment for children is available at our hotel free of charge:

baby bathtub, baby monitor, bottle warmer, bottle sterilizer, crib, prams, baby packs, changing mats, water boiler, DIAPER bucket, WC booster seat and POTTIES.

13. HOW LATE CAN I CANCEL MY BOOKING AND WHAT ARE THE CANCELLATION CONDITIONS?

HOTEL Stegerhof cancellation conditions:

up to 60 days prior to arrival: free cancellation possible

up to 1 day prior to arrival: cancellation fee is 70% of the total cost of your booking

In the event of delayed arrival or premature departure, you will be charged 100% of the hotel price on those days you are absent.

Do you wish to purchase travel cancellation insurance?

You are welcome to use our booking service to purchase cancellation insurance coverage through the company Europäische Reiseversicherungs AG. 

Please let us know in writing or by phone and we will take care of everything on your behalf. We will then send you all documentation pertaining to your insurance coverage.

14. WHERE AM I ALLOWED TO PARK MY CAR?

We have plenty of parking for our guests right at the hotel. You can then leave your car parked here for the duration of your stay. Our hotel "road train" will transport you to various activities in winter and in summer.
