The mountain village of Donnersbachwald offers wonderful nature experiences for families in winter. On excursions into the enchanting winter landscape, you can, for example, hike uphill, toboggan downhill, explore the valley and its most beautiful spots on winter hikes and snowshoes, or experience the tranquility of cross-country skiing or archery. At and around the Stegerhof children's hotel, families will find everything they need for a relaxing winter holiday, with or without skiing.
Early risers and late sleepers, winter sports enthusiasts and those seeking relaxation – everyone experiences their holiday at their own pace. Whether you want to experience as many activities as possible in one day or prefer to unwind in the wellness oasis, with yoga, or reading by the fireplace – at the Stegerhof, families experience their holidays in harmony with themselves.
The hotel is just 300 meters from the superbly equipped Riesneralm family ski area with over 32 kilometers of slopes. The Riesneralm is considered a hidden gem for family ski holidays in Austria.
Children aged 3 and up can participate in half-day or full-day ski lessons at the hotel's own ski school, "Magic Snow Academy," during the winter months, with flexible lunchtime supervision available.
