Cross-country skiing

In Donnersbachwald there are two cross-country ski trails. Both of them are double-tracked for classic cross-country technique, though wherever the terrain allows, there is also an additional track for "skating".

There is an access point for the Perwein trail – which is 6 km long – right next to our hotel. A magically beautiful tour along the banks of the Donnersbach, through the forest and across snow-covered meadows awaits you.

If you prefer to explore the Hinterwald trail, which is 10 km from start to finish, we would suggest beginning across from the children's ski area (barely a five-minute walk from Hotel Stegerhof). Along this trail leading through the winter countryside in the direction of Hinterwald, you will encounter truly special places and glistening snow as far as the eye can see. When you are out and about in this part of the world, you are truly able to sense just how close to nature you are.
